Start small. End bigger than the church.
You are a snowball in a handmade winter town built on a terraced hill. Roll over anything smaller than you to swallow it and grow: mittens, then fences, then cars, houses and the church on the summit. What you swallow sticks to the ball, and some of it fights for you.
Size is everything
- Size is your health. Bigger things knock snow off you. Melt to nothing and the run is over.
- Size is your reach. Gates open, and whole streets become food, only once you're big enough.
- Size has a cost. Thin ice cracks under a big ball, alleys get too narrow, and steep ramps need a run-up.
Things made of heat
Melties swarm and stick to you, Torchbearers throw embers, and the Bonfire Brute walks the town. Bonfires, chimneys and hot springs melt you while you're near them, and the longer you take, the harder the heat pushes. Climb high for fresh snow and roll downhill to grow fast.
Three towns
- Pinebrook, a terraced hill town: break the market gate, then swallow the hill church.
- Frostport, a frozen harbour: swallow the boats, put out the smokehouse fires, then swallow the lighthouse.
- Alder Peak, a ski mountain: slalom, jump and climb back up to swallow the ski lodge.
Each town ends when you swallow its landmark. Clear one to open the next.
